Speakers for this event include:

Jeremiah Greer - What started at an early age with a fascination of dinosaurs grew over the years into all things unexplained and eventually led Jeremiah to found and host what is called Shadows in the Dark.  Although the unexplained was in the back of Jeremiah's mind at an early age, the spark to pursue it and try to understand it didn't come until a beach trip in 1994 with a friend and his family. While on summer vacation at Oak Island, NC, Jeremiah along with others, witnessed a bright red light display maneuvers no plane could do.
This, coupled with the circling of jets shortly after the light disappeared, fueled
the spark for Jeremiah's interest in the unexplained.

Reverend Sherrie Lee James - Has a Bachelor of Arts degree featuring a double major in Religion and in Writing from Methodist College/University, a Masters in Divinity degree from Duke, A basic Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Unit for chaplaincy, and was assigned to the psych unit at the VA Hospital, Durham. Rev. Sherrie works within the paranormal and religious communities as a writer, speaker and educator, attempting to help bridge the gap between the paranormal and religion.  Sherrie strives to provide a nonjudgmental, educating and comforting presence to those seeking assistance with paranormal events or to those who simply have questions about the paranormal or spirituality. Sherrie has been studying the paranormal and parapsychology since she was 13 years old, and religion equally as long.  At the request of a client, Sherrie may conduct a house blessing or a house cleansing to deal with anything negative.  After careful and appropriate evaluations, Sherrie will consider conducting an exorcism if one is needed.  Sherrie also enjoys creating paranormal experiments and doing remote viewing.

George C. Mathis, Jr. - A Co-Founder of the National Society of Paranormal Investigation and Research, Incorporated, George has led or participated in more than 60 paranormal investigations. These investigations have ranged from private residences to large outdoor complexes, including such famous structures as the Battleship North Carolina, Mordecai Historic Park and the Fort Fisher State Historic Site.   George is also president of the Paranormal Resource Alliance, an international organization created to advance professionalism and ethics in the field of paranormal investigation and research. George earned a BS in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a MS in Administration from Central Michigan University, and is a Certified Public Manager.  George is a professional member of the Rhine Research Center, the Parapsychological Association and the Association TransCommunication.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Ferry Plantation House, a highly haunted historic structure in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  The title of George's session is "The Use of Professionalism, Ethics and Etiquette When Conducting Investigations and Research of the Paranormal".

Joe Baretincic -  Joe's interest in the paranormal began at an early age witnessing his Grandmother's talent of ESP, telekinesis and experiencing the spirits “residing” in her attic.  His desire to learn more intensified, but during his teen and young adult life years, he consciously suppressed his growing and overpowering empathic and intuitive abilities.  As the result of serious health issues in 2002, these abilities were rekindled tenfold and the drive to understand them resurfaced.  He uses 40 years of hands-on electronics and photographic experience,  and metaphysical techniques in his attempt to capture proof of the after-life.  Equipment 101:  Essential tools, or  a crutch?

Jonathan Watts - Jonathan Watts is a dedicated member of the paranormal community.  Over ten years ago, Jonathan founded United Skeptics and Believers Paranormal Research Society, more commonly referred to as USB. USB is a premier, international organization of individuals, teams and affiliate groups who adhere to the highest standards of paranormal investigative techniques, protocols and trainings.  With his bachelor’s degree majoring in Digital Audio and Video Production and his experience in national broadcasting, Jonathan remains on the cutting edge of audio and video paranormal research and development.  With his technological background and years of personal experience working hundreds of paranormal investigations, Jonathan is considered by many to be one of the country’s most talented paranormal investigators.
